Purpose: To record formal public opposition to the proposed 163-unit El Jebel Crossing development based on its failure to satisfy the statutory requirements and standards of the Eagle County Land Use Regulations (ECLUR).
⚠️ Important Note for Signers: Eagle County evaluates public comments strictly on how those comments relate specifically to Land Use Code compliance. Because this application was submitted under the previous (existing) ECLUR, all objections cited below refer directly to those governing standards to ensure maximum legal and regulatory weight during public hearings.
The Eagle County Land Use Regulations were established to protect public health, safety, and general community welfare. Under county code, development must lessen traffic congestion, secure safety from fire and natural hazards, regulate changes in population density, enforce minimum safety standards, and restrict development in hazard areas. The 163-unit El Jebel Crossing proposal fails to meet these essential mandates.
